The 140-foot tower will be built in the town of Cortlandt at a property located at 52 Montrose Station Rd., according to the town's Planning Board.

The Planning Board voted 4-2 to approve the tower during their meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 10, with the condition that the group behind the application, Homeland Towers, submit scoping documents before they can receive a building permit.

The approval came amid mixed reactions from residents that were expressed during public hearings leading up to the Jan. 10 meeting.
